چکیده

Product Distribution(PD) theory is a new framework for doing distributed, adaptive control of a multiagent system(MAS). We introduce the technique of “coordinate transformations” in PD theory gradient descent. These transformations selectively couple a few agents with each other into ”meta-agents”. Intuitively, this can be viewed as a generalization of forming binding contracts between those agents. Doing this sacrifices a bit of the distributed nature of the MAS, in that there must now be communication from multiple agents in determining what joint-move is finally implemented. However, as we demonstrate in computer experiments, these transformations improve the the performance of the MAS.

Product Distribution Field Theory

This paper presents a novel way to approximate a distribution governing a system of coupled particles with a product of independent distributions. The approach is an extension of mean field theory that allows the independent distributions to live in a different space from the system, and thereby capture statistical dependencies in that system. It also allows different Hamiltonians for each inde...

0 Geometry of the Dirac and Reduced Phase Space Quantization of Systems Subject to First Class Constraints

Geometric properties of operators of quantum Dirac constraints and physical observables are studied in semiclassical theory of generic constrained systems. The invariance transformations of the classical theory – contact canonical transformations and arbitrary changes of constraint basis – are promoted to the quantum domain as unitary equivalence transformations. Geometry of the quantum reducti...

Invariant classification of orthogonally separable Hamiltonian systems in Euclidean space

The term “manifold of n dimensions” in this setting describes a set of n variables that independently take on the real values from −∞ to ∞ ([12], p 116). Motivated by this idea, one can assert that Euclidean geometry of E (Euclidean space) can be completely characterized by the invariants of the Euclidean group of transformations. As is well-known, this Lie group of (orientation-preserving) iso...

The Spacetime of Double Field Theory: Review, Remarks, and Outlook

We review double field theory (DFT) with emphasis on the doubled spacetime and its generalized coordinate transformations, which unify diffeomorphisms and b-field gauge transformations. We illustrate how the composition of generalized coordinate transformations fails to associate. Moreover, in dimensional reduction, the O(d, d) T-duality transformations of fields can be obtained as generalized ...

World-line Quantisation of a Reciprocally Invariant System

We present the world-line quantisation of a system invariant under the symmetries of reciprocal relativity (pseudo-unitary transformations on “phase space coordinates” (x(τ), p(τ)) which preserve the Minkowski metric and the symplectic form, and global shifts in these coordinates, together with coordinate dependent transformations of an additional compact phase coordinate, θ(τ)). The action is ...
